Rob founded Innovative Treatment Products, LLC in 2011, dedicated to research and develop new water and wastewater treatment systems and processes. Innovatreat™ has since developed and manufactures multiple products such as the patented Clarifier CleanSweep® algae removal system, preScreen™ family of pre-membrane screening technologies and the miniMBR®, a unique, proprietary, energy efficient nutrient removal and water recycling process.
Rob is President of Kershner Environmental Technologies, LLC founded in 2001. Through KET, Rob led the water infrastructure market by introducing novel and innovative technologies to the mid-Atlantic market such as IFAS, MBBR, MBR, MABR, magnetite ballasted flocculation, solar drying and pyrolysis sludge processing technologies. Robert has served on the representative advisory board for several companies.
Prior to founding KET, Rob opened the Chesapeake office of Sloan Equipment Sales Company, a Philadelphia-based manufacturers’ representative agency. He joined SESCO following his years as a Project/Design Engineer at BCM Engineers in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Rob earned a B.S., Mechanical Engineering in 1985 from The Pennsylvania State University. He is an active member of Chesapeake Water Environment Association (CWEA), Water Environment Federation (WEF), American Water Works Association (AWWA), Maryland Rural Water Association (MRWA), Delaware Rural Water Association (DRWA), and has served as a Technical Trainer for DRWA, MRWA, and the CWEA/WWOA/AWWA Short Courses.
