Hasna spent almost 15 years in the private equity and corporate finance industry, with over USD 750mn of closed transaction value. She is an experienced deal execution professional with exposure to the entire lifecycle of buy-side investments: from sourcing, screening, execution, due diligence to portfolio management and exit. ​ She started her career as a financial analyst at ING Bank in Amsterdam in 2006. In 2008, she moved to the UAE where she worked as a vice president at the private equity division of EFG Hermes covering Middle East & North Africa with over USD 1.5bn AUM. Hasna was involved in a major private equity transaction in the region, namely the take-private of the UAE jewellery retailer DAMAS. In 2017, Ms Kasmi became an entrepreneur and founded an M&A advisory boutique, focusing on Western Europe. In 2019, she continued her career as an investment advisor to the public sector in Abu Dhabi, namely Abu Dhabi Investment Office and the Department of Health. She executed over six buy-side transactions for Abu Dhabi Investment Office, including technology start-ups such as Trukker, Sarwa and Securrency. Hasna is fluent in Arabic, English, Dutch, French and Spanish. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Cum Laude) and a Master of Science degree in Finance & Investments in 2006 from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
