This position will be one of the first face and first impression for CIC’s many clients, guests, and vendors. It is important to be engaging, inviting, and helpful. Overall, they like to employ service-minded people who are reliable, clever, and able to work independently.  More specifically, they are looking for someone who possesses the following characteristics:

  • Able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing


Event responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Client Interaction: Communicate to an event host the philosophy of CIC’s events program and explain the parameters for hosting events at CIC; act as a resource to event hosts during the event to generally ensure that the event runs smoothly.
  • Internal Team Interaction: Communicate event details with building management and security; collect and update the Certificates of Insurance for pertinent vendors; coordinate with CIC staff teams to schedule and participate in event staffing, setup, and breakdown.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with their partners and ties in the community.
  • Making sure the spaces of CIC always look their best
  • Communication of programming with CIC community
  • Coordinate and execute community programming and constantly gather feedback and improve programming.
  • Facilitate events to benefit and strengthen connections and community for CIC members.
  • Be cognizant of any misconduct, avoidance of policies, or misuse of the space and be comfortable addressing the responsible party.

  • A natural interest in helping/supporting others
  • Ability to work 9.00 am – 5:00 pm, at least three days a week. This is open to negotiation.
  • The ability to do a 6 month internship
  • A valid EU passport and citizenship in the Netherlands is strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in English
