Info Table: Added Value from Aero & Space – Faculty of Aerospace Engineering TU Delft / CGI

June 8, 2017, 16:00 - 19:00

Added value from Aero & Space! At this table, 2 propositions come together.

First, space data to solve earthly problems.
CGI is a global ICT service company. We provide mission critical software. Software that allows for safe operation of large and / or complex systems. Satellites, for example. CGI works on the Galileo satellite navigation system currently build for the EU. Space data, such as navigation information, comes in different forms. From pictures of the earth, to data communications, from radar data of the earth’s surface to optical data mapping amongst other air- and water-quality. At CGI, we realised that space data can be of value to many players. And that this value ideally is to be created in a value-network to optimise this value for clients. CGI understands the challenge, and is open to discuss opportunities and chances.
Second, Innovations from the faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Delft. Entrepreneurship is a logical option for students after or during studying. Equally so for students from the faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the TU Delft. To enable students to explore if and how they “fit” in entrepreneurship, the faculty set up a program, where students can pitch their idea, and receive 2500 euro for development of a prototype (Startup Voucher). This leads to a range of ideas, from drones to space exploration. To fully explore the ideas towards commercial value, come and speak to us on your needs where aero-space technology might be required or to be briefed on running projects in the start-up voucher program.

Faculty of Aerospace Engineering is an internationally acclaimed aerospace faculty, and the only one in the Netherlands
CGI is a global ICT service provider working on mission critial software, exploring adding value with space data.
