COVID-19 hit the world hard. Following the pandemic and the social distancing measures that were taken by governments worldwide, our economy is bound to change. Recent projections by DNB show us that we may expect over 700.000 Dutch citizens to lose their jobs in 2021. This crisis will impact our lives severely, and creates uncertainty about the future for many of us.
There may already or may not yet be an urgency for you to prepare for this new economy by rethinking your career opportunities, but either way the time to get ready for it is NOW!
Therefore during the summer period in July and August, Venture Café Rotterdam will be offering a 9-week summer school program consisting of two tracks:
Most of these sessions will be offered online. Since the RIVM guidelines are loosening slightly, we will be able to host one session per week physically at our Venture Café space as of July 1st. Limited spots available! Sign up info will follow. We look forward to welcoming you back at our home base!
During summer take the time to upgrade your skills and competences! Venture Café partners with various organisations to bring you an entrepreneurial school that will allow you to build and/or take the next step with your business, upgrade your 21st century skills and get you inspired about the latest innovations and developments.
Aimed at entrepreneurs, early-stage startups and those with a great business idea. The curriculum will include the idea phase, orientation, Think about “How to build a successful team”, “How to get noticed by your target audience”, “How to get paying customers” etc.In this track we aim to cover all relevant subjects for running a successful company ranging from organisational design, to finance and marketing & sales.
The curriculum will start on Thursday, July 2nd and will end on August 27th. The 9-week program is build up as follows:

During our monthly Talent Nights, every last Thursday of the month, we aim to connect talent to opportunities.
If you are interested to join these sessions you are most welcome! No sign up is needed, unless specified otherwise in the session of your choice.
Sessions are free of charge, since innovation should be accessible for all. Your donation is however much appreciated. This way you keep our platform alive and contribute to the innovation ecosystem directly.
OUR EXPERTS FOR JULY
Andres Campo is a lecturer and entrepreneur. He is passionate about education, and teaching students the tools we have available to change the world.Currently, he teaches Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the Rotterdam Business School. He has been involved in the development of various technology initiatives, including Buildup Camp, the Rotterdam Blockchain Community, and Techstars Startup Weekend Rotterdam. I believe that through community and collaboration we can give technology the other face people are in need for, the face of change. I have been consulting companies in digital marketing and development of products for the past four years, in my free time I coach early-stage entrepreneurs on how to turn their ideas into viable businesses.
